Why VaultRubric is different

Short answer: Most money sites show a list of offers. VaultRubric gives you one best move for your situation, shows the math and sources, and never lets partner money change a pick.

1. Partner money never changes a pick

Every score is a weighted average of cited facts, using our published rubric. Our disclosures say it plainly: affiliate relationships never change scores, rankings or which option gets the top score. Ads are labeled "Advertisement" and kept out of scores and recommendations.

The math, for example: if fees count 10 and security counts 8, and a platform scores 9/10 on fees and 6/10 on security, its score is (10×9 + 8×6) ÷ (10+8) = 138 ÷ 18 = 7.7/10. A partner can't change any of those numbers. Missing facts are scored low (5/10, or lower if others score lower), never guessed up. If two products are within 3 points, we say "too close to call".

2. Answers, not lists

Our guides start with a short answer, give the best move by situation, show the math, and end with numbered steps. Example: on a $30,000 car loan over 60 months, 8.9% instead of 6.9% costs about $1,720 more, which is why our car pages tell you to get a pre-approval first.

3. Built for everyone

We test our pages for large text (16px and up), strong contrast and big buttons (44px and up) on phones and desktops, and we write in plain words with one clear next step.

4. Built to be cited

Facts carry a source and an "as of" date. We publish open data, an AI-ready summary, and a free API and MCP server so AI assistants can quote us accurately, with credit.

5. A car dealership insider's view

Our owner spent years in dealership sales and management. Our car pages focus on what to check before you sign: the out-the-door price, the loan rate, taxes and add-ons.

6. A money coach without the upsell

You don't need an account. Our privacy policy says we never sell personal data and never sell or share your email. Every comparison, calculator and scam check stays free.
