A. Dwelling$0Enough to rebuild after a total loss
B. Other structures$0About 10% of A (garage, shed, fence)
C. Personal property$0Generally 50 to 70% of A
D. Loss of use$0Often about 20% of A

Ask your insurer or agent for a replacement-cost estimate for your address; local labor and material costs vary widely. Liability limits generally start at about $100,000; an umbrella policy adds more.
